Peter O’Mara Quartet w Roger Manins
Australian-born/Munich resident guitarist Peter O’Mara visits CJC for the first time.
After beginning his career in Sydney in 1976, he has made his home in Germany since the early 1980’s, and soon established himself as one of the top jazz guitarists in Europe.
He teaches at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich & the Bruckner University in Linz, and has written successful books published by internationally acclaimed imprints Advance Music & Schott Music.
He has recorded and performed with musicians like Dave Holland, Joe Lovano, Bob Mintzer, Kenny Wheeler, Randy Brecker, Charlie Mariano, Adam Nussbaum, NDR Big band and the United Jazz & Rock Ensemble. He performed with German jazz legend Klaus Doldinger and his Jazz-Rock group “Passport” for 30 years with tours all over Europe, Brasil, South Africa, Morocco and New Zealand.
He will be joined by Roger Manins and a local rhythm section for this one-off performance by a guitar master. Don’t miss out!
