The Singing of Caroline Miniscule

The Carolingian script Caroline Miniscule is the inspiration behind Caro Manins’s latest project. In this concert she delves into original music inspired by medieval song traditions and arrangements of medieval songs including 13th-century amor courtois from the court of Champagne, plainchant, oral tradition and jazz pieces.

The band also play Bach-inspired musical contributions from Elliott Park (fretless and double bass) and arrangments from Ben Gailer (piano), and are joined by Jack Thirtle (trumpet), Ron Samson (percussion and drums) and special guests.
