Alex Ventling Quartet – Nordic Perspectives
Alex Ventling is becoming one of New Zealand’s finest jazz exports: Touring and living the last 10 years in Europe, and recent ‘European Jazz Master’ graduate. In this rare returning-home concert, Alex teams up with locals Roger Manins, Mostyn Cole and Andy Keegan, for a unique collaboration.
Now residing in Norway, the Scandinavian sound is ever so present in Alex’s compositions and improvisational approach. Perhaps it’s the fjords and mountains or perceptions of space, that connect the two polar-opposite countries. Let yourself be transported in this concert.
