Speak No Evil: Remembering Wayne Shorter 1933-2023
Wayne Shorter left an indelible mark on jazz as a saxophonist & musician, through his compositions, as a bandleader, and as a member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messenger, Miles Davis’ second quintet, and later the fusion group Weather Report.
Saxophonist Ben McNicoll convenes a group including Joe Kaptein, Mostyn Cole & Andy Keegan, with guests Callum Passells and Chelsea Prastiti & more, to pay homage to the great man and his music, from his hard-bop roots to the jazz fusion years and beyond.
