Nick Granville
Nick Granville is a professional guitarist / composer based in Wellington, New Zealand who possesses an impressive palette of diverse sounds across a wide range of styles.
Nick has performed around the world including with Dave Weckl, Mike Stern, Joey Defrancesco, Patti Austin, Ronan Keating, Delta Goodrem, Kurt Elling, Chris DeBurgh, The Sounds of the Supremes, The Rodger Fox Big Band, Dave Dobbyn, The NZSO, and as the guitarist for the hit TV show Dancing with the Stars to name but a few. This is a gig not to be missed.
He is joined for this special one night only performance at CJC by both Ron Samsom & Adam Tobeck on double drum kits along with Oli Holland on bass for a night best described as James Brown meets Thelonius Monk. In many ways this ensemble could be considered a supergroup given these supremely talented musicians have all performed with the best of the best globally, are renowned first-call session jazz musicians and are respected composers in their own right. Expect explosive Jazz meets dynamic Funk with a little Blues thrown in.
