Saxophonist and composer Callum Passells is back again at CJC with a band last seen at the club in 2014!
These four adventurers return to the place of their first real gig, transformed and wizened by years in the wilderness. With them they bring a language forged at the coal face of Auckland's improvised music scene.
The 'two horn' frontline showcases the chameleonic talents of vocalist Chelsea Prastiti, while bassist Cameron McArthur and drummer Adam Tobeck weave dense thickets of rhythm. Callum Passells writes the music with these incredible musicians in mind - making this a band that sounds unique and personal.
