Mark De Clive Lowe is back, with guest Nathan Haines!
Following back-to-back sold-out shows in 2019, Mark de Clive-Lowe returns to CJC, with drummer Brandon Combs (USA), Marika Hodgson on bass, and special guest Nathan Haines.
Internationally-acclaimed, ex-pat Aucklander Mark de Clive-Lowe returns home for two nights of exclusive shows for CJC. His 2019 sold-out shows gave us two fantastic nights of music and we already know that the upcoming dates will be equally as special. In 2019, de Clive-Lowe released multiple projects including his Heritage duology, his Ronin Arkestra project and the beats-meets-jazz collaboration project CHURCH Sessions, leading BeatCaffeine to name him their 2019 Artist of the Year.
For his March return to CJC and Anthology, de Clive-Lowe is featuring drummer-extraordinaire Brandon Combs (Leon Bridges, Patrice Rushen) who comes to NZ for the first time, reunites with bassist Marika Hodgson and invites special guest and long-time collaborator Nathan Haines to join him.
"de Clive-Lowe’s notion of truth on Heritage ultimately reaches beyond the individual, beyond his lineage and into the cultural moment we’re currently living” - Downbeat
