Singer Hannah Griffin, whose exquisite interpretations of New Zealand poetry have been heard in festivals around the country and abroad, joins Europe-based saxophonist Hayden Chisholm and pianist and composer Norman Meehan in a concert of songs interpreting poems by New Zealand poets.
Texts by Hinemoana Baker, Cilla McQueen and Eileen Duggan are mixed with music that knows a lot about jazz, by also draws from Indian raga and other folk traditions.
For their CJC show they are joined by bassist Cameron McArthur and drummer Julien Dyne.
